My earring making process
Short process video of beading a cherry template earrings.
It all begins with an idea; once I have my idea, I create a template on my iPad using procreate. Next I save and print my template. Once it’s printed, I use a glue stick to adhere the template to my pelon. I like to glue paper sack in the other side of the pelon as well for extra stability. When the glue is dry, I begin my beading project.
I prefer to use size 11 seed beads, charlotte cuts. Or whatever beads I think will look good on my project. On these particular earrings I used size 11 seed beads (cut), bonded nylon thread and a size 11 beading needle by John James. The thread is from Good Thread brand that I purchased at Michael’s. I used the one thread beading method, opposed to two needle method where one thread is used for stringing beads, and the other is for tacking.
These are just some of the techniques that I’ve learned and have grown accustomed to. But as I like to reiterate, there is no right or wrong way to bead. Everyone is unique in their own creativity. Happy Beading everyone!
